In Thursday's league outing, the Gompers Prep Academy Eagles (San Diego, CA) basketball squad felled the visiting Horizon Prep Lions (Rancho Santa Fe, CA), by a margin of 44-32.

The Eagles (3-9) will now prepare for their outing against O'Farrell Charter (San Diego, CA). The Falcons go into the Summit outing with a 10-10 record. In their last outing, O'Farrell Charter was beaten by High Tech CV (Chula Vista, CA), 69-30, in a league outing.

The Lions now own a 2-16 record. They play next when they travel to High Tech NC for a Patriot outing on Tuesday, January 23. Horizon Prep will clash with a Raptor squad coming off a 58-40 league win over Liberty Charter (Alpine, CA). The Raptor record now stands at 8-11.
