Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Sun Valley can't hold off Great Valley

The Great Valley Patriots basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Sun Valley Vanguards to 50 in the Patriots league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Strath Haven for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Great Valley will battle a Panthers team coming off a 64-40 non-league loss to Phoenixville (Phoenixville, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-13.

The Vanguards (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Ridley (Folsom, PA). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Ridley nudged Interboro (Prospect Park, PA), 66-50, in a non-league contest.
