New Mexico High School Basketball - Reserve knocked off by Hatch Valley

The Hatch Valley Bears basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Reserve Mountaineers to 39 in the Bears non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Bears now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Springer for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19. Hatch Valley will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 70-43 non-league win over Animas (Animas, NM). The Red Devils record now stands at 6-7.
The Mountaineers (2-12) will now prepare for their contest against Magdalena (Magdalena, NM). The Steers enter the A District 2 contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Magdalena ran past Capitan (Capitan, NM), 62-21, in a non-league contest.
