Virginia High School Basketball - Langley can't hold off Herndon

The Herndon Hornets basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Langley Saxons to 58 in the Hornets league triumph on Thursday.
The Hornets now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Washington-Liberty for a District 2 contest on Saturday, January 20. Herndon will battle a Generals team coming off a 58-45 league loss to McLean (McLean, VA). The Generals record now stands at 5-9.
The Saxons (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Yorktown (Arlington, VA). The Patriots enter the District 2 contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Yorktown nudged George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA), 56-42, in a league contest.
