Sitka Wolves (Sitka, AK) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK), 50-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sitka upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Redington (Wasilla, AK) to play the Huskies in a 3A Eastern bout on Friday, January 19. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Redington won 70-26 in their recent non-league bout against Susitna Valley (Talkeetna, AK)

Next up, the Hawks play the Mt. Edgecumbe Braves (Sitka, AK) in a 3A Eastern bout, on Friday, January 26. Houston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
