Latin Romans (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lake Forest Academy Caxys (Lake Forest, IL), 51-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Latin upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Romans host Northside (Chicago, IL) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 11-9. Northside won 53-36 in their recent league bout against Von Steuben (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Caxys clash with the Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers (Fort Wayne, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Lake Forest Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 55-43 non-league win over Huntington North (Huntington, IN).
