In Thursday's league outing, the Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Penquis Valley Patriots (Milo, ME), by a margin of 61-38.
The Lynx (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Woodland (Baileyville, ME). The Dragons go into the C North outing with a 1-10 record. In their last outing, Woodland was trounced by Machias (Machias, ME), 77-53, in a league outing.
The Patriots now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Piscataquis for a C North outing on Saturday, January 20. Penquis Valley will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 63-35 league win over Central (East Corinth, ME). The Pirates record now stands at 5-5.
