In their next game, the Lions face the Ridgewood Maroons (Ridgewood, NJ) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 20. Payne Tech will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Maroons come into the battle with a 12-2 record after their 59-41 non-league win over Passaic (Passaic, NJ).

The Terries (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, NJ). The Gray Bees come into the non-league battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, St. Benedict's Prep was nudged by Blair Academy (Blairstown, NJ), 59-48, in a league battle.
