In Thursday's league outing, the South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) basketball squad edged the host Newnan Cougars (Newnan, GA), by a margin of 61-54.
The Spartans (12-6) will now prepare for their outing against Douglas County (Douglasville, GA). The Tigers go into the AAAAAA Region 5 outing with a 9-7 record. In their last outing, Douglas County held off East Paulding (Dallas, GA), 58-45, in a league outing.
