Terrell County Greenwave (Dawson, GA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), 75-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Terrell County upgrades its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Greenwave travel to Early County (Blakely, GA) to play the Bobcats in a A D2 Region 1 bout on Friday, January 19. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Early County won 69-58 in their recent league bout against Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Furlow Charter School Falcons (Americus, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Quitman County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 84-3 non-league loss to Manchester (Manchester, GA).
