The Riceville Wildcats basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Tripoli Panthers to 26 in the Wildcats league triumph on Thursday.

In their next game, the Wildcats meet the Dunkerton Raiders (Dunkerton, IA) in a Iowa Star match, on Friday, January 19. Riceville will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record. The Raiders enter the match with a 10-2 record after their 61-49 non-league loss to Waterloo Christian (Waterloo, IA).

With the defeat, Tripoli moves to 0-12 on the year. The Panthers host Don Bosco (Gilbertville, IA) to meet the Dons in a Iowa Star match on Friday, January 19. The Dons enter the match with a record of 8-5. Don Bosco won 57-55 in their recent league match against Clarksville (Clarksville, IA)
