The Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD) basketball knocked off the visiting Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels (Forestburg, SD), 61-47 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Spartans (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD). The go into the B Region 5 test with a 4-4 record.
The Rebels now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Hanson for a A Region 5 test on Tuesday, January 23. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket will encounter a Beavers squad coming off a 66-64 non-league win over Clark/Willow Lake (Clark, SD). The Beavers record now stands at 7-3.
