The Shelley Russets (Shelley, ID) basketball felled the host Sugar-Salem Diggers (Sugar City, ID), 66-57 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Russets (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Hillcrest (Idaho Falls, ID). The Knights go into the 4A High Country test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Hillcrest thwarted Idaho Falls (Idaho Falls, ID), 90-40, in a league test.

The Diggers now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Ririe for a non-league test on Friday, January 19. Sugar-Salem will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 60-41 league win over Salmon (Salmon, ID). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-7.
