Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Sussex Tech Ravens (Georgetown, DE), 66-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Smyrna upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Milford (Milford, DE) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a record of 4-6. Milford lost 90-58 in their recent non-league bout against Dover (Dover, DE)

Next up, the Ravens play the Caesar Rodney Riders (Camden, DE) in a Henlopen - Northern bout, on Saturday, January 20. Sussex Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Riders come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 61-52 league loss to Sussex Central (Georgetown, DE).
