Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL), 67-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Taylorville upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Hiltoppers face the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians (Carlyle, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, January 22. Hillsboro will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
