Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts (Mio, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI), 36-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mio-Au Sable upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Thunderbolts travel to St.Ignace (St. Ignace, MI) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 8-2. St.Ignace lost 65-56 in their recent non-league bout against Gaylord (Gaylord, MI)

Next up, the Tigers play the Fairview Eagles (Fairview, MI) in a North Star bout, on Monday, January 22. Alcona will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record.
