Virginia High School Basketball - Maggie Walker knocked off by Amelia County

January 18, 2024: Amelia Court House, VA 23002

The Amelia County Raiders basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Maggie Walker to 55 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Raiders now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Prince Edward County for a James River contest on Tuesday, January 23. Amelia County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 53-49 league win over Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-5.

The (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA). The Green Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Wilson Memorial ran past Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA), 53-40, in a league contest.
