In Thursday's league outing, the Avella Eagles (Avella, PA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Jefferson-Morgan Rockets (Jefferson, PA), by a margin of 49-45.

The Eagles (3-12) will now prepare for their outing against West Greene (Waynesburg, PA). The Pioneers go into the WPIAL 1A 2 outing with a 5-8 record.
