The Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Barringer Blue Bears to 23 in the Panthers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Side for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Newark Collegiate Academy will battle a Red Raiders team coming off a 46-16 non-league loss to Livingston (Livingston, NJ). The Red Raiders record now stands at 4-8.

The Blue Bears (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Dwight Morrow (Englewood, NJ). The Maroon Raiders come into the non-league contest with a 0-14 record. In their last contest, Dwight Morrow was routed by Pascack Valley (Hillsdale, NJ), 51-6, in a non-league contest.
