The Bowie Pirates basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Maud Cardinals to 34 in the Pirates league victory on Thursday.
The Pirates now sport a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Detroit for a 2A Region II District 16 contest on Friday, January 19. Bowie will battle a Eagles team coming off a 43-29 league loss to Clarksville (Clarksville, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 9-20.
The Cardinals (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against Harts Bluff (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Region II District 16 contest with a 14-12 record. In their last contest, Harts Bluff was defeated by Rivercrest (Bogata, TX), 37-33, in a league contest.
