The Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI) basketball crushed the visiting Lac Courte Oreilles Eagles (Hayward, WI), 52-24 in Thursday's league test.

The Midgets (12-4) will now prepare for their test against White Lake (White Lake, WI). The Lakers go into the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, White Lake was trounced by Marion (Marion, WI), 59-2, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 1-14 record. They play next when they travel to South Shore for a Northern Lights test on Friday, January 19. Lac Courte Oreilles will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 58-43 league win over Mellen (Mellen, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 13-1.
