Carlson Marauders (Gibraltar, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Roosevelt Bears (Wyandotte, MI), 40-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Carlson upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Marauders travel to Anderson (Southgate, MI) to play the Titans in a Downriver bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Anderson lost 37-32 in their recent league bout against Taylor (Taylor, MI)

Next up, the Bears play the Trenton Trojans (Trenton, MI) in a Downriver bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Roosevelt will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 49-36 non-league win over Grosse Ile (Grosse Ile, MI).
