Ironwood Eagles (Glendale, AZ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ), 48-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ironwood upgrades its record to 5-14 on the campaign. The Eagles host Paradise Valley (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Trojans in a 5A Northwest bout on Monday, January 22. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 13-8. Paradise Valley won 42-34 in their recent league bout against Apollo (Glendale, AZ)

Next up, the Coyotes play the Kellis Cougars (Glendale, AZ) in a 5A Northwest bout, on Monday, January 22. Centennial will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 18-3 record after their 55-31 league win over Willow Canyon (Surprise, AZ).
