Surrattsville Hornets (Clinton, MD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers (Laurel, MD), 2-0 in a league bout.

With the win, Surrattsville upgrades its record to 4-8 on the season. The Hornets travel to Friendly (Fort Washington, MD) to play the Patriots in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A bout on Friday, January 19. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Friendly won 77-0 in their recent league bout against Potomac (Oxon Hill, MD)

Next up, the Tigers play the Oxon Hill Clippers (Oxon Hill, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Clippers go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 73-16 league win over Crossland (Temple Hills, MD).
