Plainview Bears (Rainsville, AL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Crossville Lions (Crossville, AL), 82-20 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Plainview upgrades its record to 20-4 on the campaign. The Bears host Southside (Gadsden, AL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 17-4. Southside won 48-18 in their recent league bout against Alexandria (Alexandria, AL)

Next up, the Lions play the West End Patriots (Walnut Grove, AL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Crossville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 2-16 record after their 69-12 league loss to Holly Pond (Holly Pond, AL).
