The Deptford Spartans basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the visiting Triton Mustangs to 34 in the Spartans league victory on Thursday.

The Spartans now sport a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lindenwold for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19. Deptford will battle a Lions team coming off a 40-33 league loss to West Deptford (Westville, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 2-8.

The Mustangs (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lower Cape May (Cape May, NJ). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Lower Cape May prevailed over Buena (Buena, NJ), 43-19, in a non-league contest.
