The Largo Lions basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Fairmont Heights Hornets to 9 in the Lions league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gwynn Park for a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A contest on Tuesday, January 23.

The Hornets (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Potomac (Oxon Hill, MD). The Wolverines enter the Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Potomac was routed by Friendly (Fort Washington, MD), 77-0, in a league contest.
