Illinois High School Basketball - Frankfort ripped by Herrin

The Herrin Tigers basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Frankfort Redbirds to 33 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Tigers now sport a 18-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Vienna for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Herrin will meet a Eagles team coming off a 59-52 non-league win over Goreville (Goreville, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 17-6.
The Redbirds (3-20) will now prepare for their contest against Nashville (Nashville, IL). The Hornets enter the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi contest with a 21-3 record. In their last contest, Nashville triumphed over Mater Dei (Breese, IL), 40-39, in a non-league contest.
