The Tiftarea Academy Panthers basketball team (Chula, GA), was nudged 46-42 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Georgia Christian Generals (Valdosta, GA)
The Generals now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southwest Georgia Academy for a GIAA AA Region 3 battle on Friday, January 19. Georgia Christian will battle a Warriors team coming off a 63-57 non-league win over Fullington Academy (Pinehurst, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-6.
The Panthers (3-11) will now prepare for their battle against Brookwood (Thomasville, GA). The Warriors come into the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, Brookwood edged Thomasville (Thomasville, GA), 40-33, in a non-league battle.
