The Madison East Purgolders basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the host Janesville Craig Cougars to 64 in the Purgolders league victory on Thursday.
The Purgolders now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison West for a Big Eight contest on Tuesday, January 23.
The Cougars (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Kenosha Bradford (Kenosha, WI). The Red Devils come into the non-league contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Kenosha Bradford prevailed over Westosha Central (Salem, WI), 40-30, in a non-league contest.
