Ohio High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon knocked off by Lexington

The Lexington Minutemen basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets to 29 in the Minutemen league triumph on Thursday.

The Minutemen now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mansfield Senior for a Ohio Cardinal contest on Saturday, January 20. Lexington will battle a Tygers team coming off a 35-22 league win over Madison Comprehensive (Mansfield, OH). The Tygers record now stands at 15-1.

The Yellowjackets (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Madison Comprehensive (Mansfield, OH). The Rams enter the Ohio Cardinal contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Madison Comprehensive was defeated by Mansfield Senior (Mansfield, OH), 35-22, in a league contest.
