South Sumter Raiders (Bushnell, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mount Dora Hurricanes (Mount Dora, FL), 68-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Sumter upgrades its record to 3-9 on the season. The Raiders travel to Lake Weir (Ocala, FL) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a record of 0-12. Lake Weir lost 67-20 in their recent league bout against Umatilla (Umatilla, FL)

Next up, the Hurricanes play the Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks (Auburndale, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Mount Dora will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Seahawks go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 62-36 non-league win over Four Corners (Davenport, FL).
