Virginia High School Basketball - New Covenant succumbs to Southwest Virginia Academy

The Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors topped the visiting New Covenant Gryphons basketball team by a final score of 48-36 in Thursday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Conquerors face the Tri-Cities Christian Eagles (Blountville, TN) in a non-league game, on Thursday, January 25. Southwest Virginia Academy will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record.
With the defeat, New Covenant moves to 9-5 on the year. The Gryphons travel to North Cross (Roanoke, VA) to face the Raiders in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 23. The Raiders enter the game with a record of 3-9. North Cross lost 65-19 in their recent league game against Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA)
