Spanish River Sharks (Boca Raton, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Olympic Heights Lions (Boca Raton, FL), 36-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Spanish River upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Sharks host Boca Raton Christian (Boca Raton, FL) to play the Blazers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Blazers go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Boca Raton Christian lost 52-45 in their recent non-league bout against Winthrop College Prep Academy (Riverview, FL)

Next up, the Lions play the Stoneman Douglas Eagles (Parkland, FL) in a 7A District 13 bout, on Monday, January 22. Olympic Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 45-40 non-league loss to Northeast (Oakland Park, FL).
