In Thursday's league outing, the River Pilots (Hannibal, OH) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Shadyside Tigers (Shadyside, OH), by a count of 60-20.
The Pilots (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Shenandoah (Sarahsville, OH). The Zeps go into the Mid-Ohio Valley outing with a 5-8 record. In their last outing, Shenandoah was crushed by Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH), 55-36, in a league outing.
The Tigers now hold a 3-14 record. They play next when they host Martins Ferry for a non-league outing on Monday, January 22. Shadyside will clash with a Purple Riders squad coming off a 66-22 league win over Beaver (Lisbon, OH). The Purple Riders record now stands at 12-4.
