West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 31-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West Potomac upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Robinson (Fairfax, VA) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 1-8. Robinson lost 45-33 in their recent non-league bout against Woodson (Fairfax, VA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Alexandria City Titans (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. West Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Titans come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 50-8 non-league win over Fairfax (Fairfax, VA).
