In Thursday's non-league outing, the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA), by a margin of 47-45.
The Eagles (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Magna Vista was tipped by Martinsville (Martinsville, VA), 42-35, in a non-league outing.
The Knights now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Salem for a non-league outing on Friday, January 19. Cave Spring will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 51-41 non-league win over Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 8-4.
