Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA), 60-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Nevada Union upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Miners host Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA) to clash with the Bruins in a bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Ponderosa won 92-46 in their recent league bout against Lincoln (Lincoln, CA)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Oakmont will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Hillmen go into the bout with a 7-12 record after their 72-54 league loss to West Park (Roseville, CA).
