The Powdersville Patriots (Greenville, SC) basketball nipped the visiting Palmetto Mustangs (Williamston, SC), 35-31 in Thursday's league test.
The Patriots (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Belton-Honea Path (Honea Path, SC). The Bears go into the test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, Belton-Honea Path was tipped by Wren (Piedmont, SC), 47-28, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Southside for a non-league test on Monday, January 22. Palmetto will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 46-45 league win over Fountain Inn (Fountain Inn, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 11-5.
