New York High School Basketball - Gananda Central knocks off Avoca Central

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Gananda Central Blue Panthers (Walworth, NY) and the host Avoca Central Tigers (Avoca, NY), observed Gananda Central's basketball team overcome Avoca Central by a score of 68-54.
The Blue Panthers (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sodus (Sodus, NY). The Spartans come into the Section 5 Wayne challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Sodus defeated North Rose-Wolcott (Wolcott, NY), 57-44, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Honeoye Bulldogs (Honeoye, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Avoca Central will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 76-50 league win over Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NY).
