Alabama High School Basketball - Bullock County thwarts Barbour County

January 18, 2025: Union Springs, AL 36089

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Bullock County Hornets (Union Springs, AL) and the visiting Barbour County Jaguars (Clayton, AL), observed Bullock County's basketball team knock off Barbour County by a score of 55-41.

The Hornets (4-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Pike County (Brundidge, AL). The Bulldogs come into the 4A Area 4 challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Pike County prevailed over New Brockton (New Brockton, AL), 47-31, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Jaguars encounter the Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL) in a 2A Area 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Barbour County will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 70-51 league loss to Abbeville (Abbeville, AL).

The Bullock County (Union Springs, AL) varsity basketball team won Saturday's home non-conference game against Barbour County (Clayton, AL) by a score of 55-41.
