The Berkley Bears basketball squad (Berkley, MI), was nudged 56-49 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting University Eagles (Ferndale, MI)

With the victory, University advances its record to 7-6 on the year. The Eagles host Southfield Arts & Tech (Southfield, MI) to meet the Warriors in a Oakland - Blue battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Warriors enter the battle with a record of 4-10. Southfield Arts & Tech won 58-37 in their recent non-league battle against Lee (Wyoming, MI)

The Bears now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Royal Oak for a Oakland - Blue battle on Tuesday, January 21. Berkley will meet a Ravens squad coming off a 61-41 league loss to Stoney Creek (Rochester Hills, MI). The Ravens record now stands at 5-7.
