The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Leola/Frederick Titans (Leola, SD) and the visiting Ellendale Cardinals (Ellendale, ND), observed Leola/Frederick's basketball team overwhelm Ellendale by a margin of 54-25.

The Titans (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD). The Wildcats come into the B Region 1 challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Northwestern Area trounced Little Wound (Kyle, SD), 73-68, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Lions (Linton, ND) in a B District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Ellendale will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 60-41 non-league win over Sargent County (Milnor, ND).
