In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Flowery Branch Falcons basketball team scored a big 67-43 triumph over the Johnson Knights.

The Falcons (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA). The Warriors go into the AAAA Region 8 contest with a 2-18 record. In their last contest, Walnut Grove was trounced by Social Circle (Social Circle, GA), 55-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the North Hall Trojans (Gainesville, GA) in a AAA Region 6 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Johnson will attempt to better on its 1-14 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 12-7 record after their 63-62 league win over White County (Cleveland, GA).
