The Howe Lions basketball squad (Howe, OK), was nudged 55-50 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Keys Cougars (Park Hill, OK)
With the victory, Keys advances its record to 8-5 on the year. The Cougars host Hilldale (Muskogee, OK) to meet the Hornets in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Hornets enter the battle with a record of 4-6. Hilldale won 65-60 in their recent league battle against Catoosa (Catoosa, OK)
The Lions now own a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Talihina for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. Howe will meet a Golden Tigers squad coming off a 70-40 non-league win over Bokoshe (Bokoshe, OK). The Golden Tigers record now stands at 6-3.
