The Jacksonville Golden Eagles basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Saks Wildcats to 60 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Golden Eagles now have a 13-10 record. They play next when they travel to Piedmont for a non-league game on Monday, January 20. Jacksonville will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 62-49 league win over Westbrook Christian (Rainbow City, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-6.

With the loss, Saks falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Weaver (Weaver, AL) to confront the Bearcats in a 3A Area 9 game on Thursday, January 23. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 13-11. Weaver won 79-56 in their recent league game against Wellborn (Anniston, AL)
