In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Pope John XXIII basketball team scored a good 66-50 triumph over the Kittatinny Regional Cougars.
The (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Morristown (Morristown, NJ). The Colonials go into the non-league contest with a 5-5 record.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Hopatcong Chiefs (Hopatcong, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - Colonial contest, on Monday, January 20. Kittatinny Regional will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Chiefs go into the contest with a 7-3 record after their 42-39 non-league win over Newton (Newton, NJ).
