Mississippi High School Basketball - Pontotoc routs Lafayette

In Saturday's league contest, the visiting Pontotoc Warriors basketball team scored a big 61-40 triumph over the Lafayette Commodores.
The Warriors (16-8) will now prepare for their contest against Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS). The Wildcats go into the 5A Region 1 contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, Clarksdale smashed West Point (West Point, MS), 56-43, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Commodores battle the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) in a 5A Region 1 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Lafayette will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 9-6 record after their 54-51 league loss to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS).
