Illinois High School Basketball - Monticello sneaks past Maroa-Forsyth

The Monticello Sages basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Maroa-Forsyth Trojans to 45 in the Sages non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Sages now possess a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Olympia for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. Monticello will play a Spartans team coming off a 49-47 non-league loss to Cornerstone Christian (Bloomington, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Maroa-Forsyth falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host Rochester (Rochester, IL) to play the Rockets in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Rockets go into the game with a record of 12-5. Rochester won 63-46 in their recent league game against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL)
