The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs (Encinitas, CA) and the host Oceanside Pirates (Oceanside, CA), observed San Dieguito Academy's basketball team overwhelm Oceanside by a margin of 73-34.

The Mustangs (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Canyon Crest Academy (San Diego, CA). The Ravens come into the challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Canyon Crest Academy trounced Sage Creek (Carlsbad, CA), 48-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Sage Creek Bobcats (Carlsbad, CA) in a challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Oceanside will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 68-42 league win over Mission Vista (Oceanside, CA).
